National Research and Development Institute for Biological Sciences Bucharest (INCDSB) announces the implementation of the project Innovative methods to exploit natural resources and improve the nutritional efficiency of phyto-products - contributions to increase the competitiveness of small enterprises, FITOCOMP, implemented under the Competitiveness Operational Programme 2014-2020, Priority Axis 1 - Research, Technological Development and Innovation (RDI) in support of economic competitiveness and business development, Action 1.2.3, under contract no. 83 of 08.09.2016, concluded with the National Authority for Scientific Research and Innovation as Intermediary Body on behalf of and for the Ministry of European Funds as Managing Authority for the Competitiveness Operational Programme.
The objective of this project is to increase the economic efficiency of the private partner companies by developing and implementing innovative technological solutions for the extraction and characterisation of active principles from plant materials and by more efficient processing of residues from the agro-food industry in order to obtain new by-products/by-products with superior nutritional qualities. Project implementation involves the transfer of knowledge, working methodologies, tools and tailor-made strategies, according to the need to increase the specific competitiveness of each beneficiary of this project. The achievement of the major objective implies the development of competences of the staff in enterprises in order to ensure the leap from being a receiver of information to being a creator of knowledge source.
The project is being implemented in the Bucharest - Ilfov development region and has an implementation period of 60 months. The total value of the project is 9.015.935 lei of which the non-reimbursable financial assistance is 7.425.147 lei.
