Strategies
At INCDSB, we aim to maintain the three major research directions to ensure continuity of activity and to promote innovation and development. We want these directions to be equally supported and aligned with the Horizon Europe strategy, thus ensuring the continuity of our research strategy. We also aim to steer European programmatic policies towards a green transition and the implementation of circular economy and climate neutrality principles.
We aim to bring together the multidisciplinary expertise of our research teams to facilitate the transfer of knowledge and technologies from research to market. We aim to help promote open strategic autonomy, create key value chains and focus technologies and innovation on human needs. We also aim to restore ecosystems and biodiversity, sustainably manage natural resources and ensure a clean and healthy environment.
We are committed to Europe's principles of economic circularity and climate neutrality. By strengthening our institutional and human resource competences in life sciences and related fields, we aim to contribute to the sustainable management of natural resources and the achievement of the Green Deal objectives. We also aim to ensure favourable conditions for technological transition towards green and sustainable technologies.
One of our objectives is to maintain and expand existing international partnerships and to strengthen the exchange of knowledge and know-how in the fields of cell biology, genetics, proteomics, metabolomics and biotechnology. This includes collaboration with organisations such as ICGEB, LifeWatch, Danubius-RI and KOPRI.
Another of our objectives is to contribute to the realization of the Romanian components of the International Centre for Advanced Studies on River-Sea Systems "DANUBIUS-RI". We aim to assess, monitor and characterise natural ecosystems and biodiversity in the context of climate change and to optimise the quality of life.
