Research Scientist II - Bioanalysis Center

Biography

Since 2008, I am part of the Bioanalysis Centre team at INCDSB Bucharest, where I carry out research activities in the field of sensors and biosensors. I mainly focused on the development of analytical tools and electrochemical methods for the detection of heavy metals in various samples, the development and characterization of chemically modified electrodes, as well as the development of flow injection analysis methods and enzymatic biosensors for the analysis of food and environmental samples.

I have participated as a member of the research team in numerous R&D projects and I was project leader in the national NIIP project - BLUEBOXSENS - Development and characterization of molecular sensors based on cyclobis(paraquat-p-phenylene) derivatives used for the detection and identification of crisis-generating factors (hazardous and priority hazardous substances).

I was also in charge of the phase within the Nucleu project (BIODIVERS 3) for the realization of an electrochemical system for the control of heavy metal contamination of raw materials and the monitoring of the technological flow of phytoproducts.
