project DECARI contributes to developing and strengthening Romania's participation in European research infrastructure DANUBIUS-RI - one of the most important European initiatives dedicated to studying the complex interactions between rivers, deltas and seas. Romania has a strategic role in this infrastructure, being the coordinator of the whole European consortium and host of the Central Hub and the Danube Delta Supersite, two essential components of DANUBIUS-RI.

In the context of intensifying climate change and the need for a deeper understanding of environmental processes, DECARI supports the development of a coherent national research community ready to actively participate in the European infrastructure through applied research, training and scientific dissemination.
