Research

The National Research and Development Institute for Biological Sciences is a Romanian legal entity under the coordination of the Ministry of Education and Research.

The National Research and Development Institute for Biological Sciences Bucharest was established by GD no. 1317/11.12.1996 through the reorganization and merger of the Institute of Development Biology Bucharest, the Institute of Biological Research Cluj-Napoca, the Institute of Biological Research Iasi and the Biological Research Centre "Stejarul" Piatra Neamt.

In 2002 it merged by absorption with the former National Institute for Research and Development in Biotechnology on the basis of GD no. 1272 of 13 November 2002. Currently INCDSB is organized and operates under the conditions provided by GD no.2082/24.11.2004.

Within the INCDSB, the work of employees is carried out in accordance with the provisions of Internal Regulation and Code of Ethics.

The commitment of the National Research and Development Institute for Biological Sciences to uphold and promote the values of gender equality aims to create an inclusive and diverse work environment in which the rights and dignity of all employees are respected, free from discrimination, prejudice, intimidation and any form of harassment. To this end the following have been developed and approved Director-General's commitment to gender equality, Gender Equality Strategy and Gender Equality Plan 2022 - 2025.

Within the INCDSB, the obligation provided for in Article 6 of the Government Decision no. 1269/17.12.2021 on the approval of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy (SNA) 2021-2025 was implemented.


To this end, the following have been drawn up and approved Statement on the commitment to an organizational integrity agenda of the INCDSB if Integrity Plan of the INCDSB.
